Suvarnabhumi Airport Assists Passengers Affected by Israel–Iran Situation

Suvarnabhumi Airport has mobilized personnel to assist passengers affected by flight disruptions resulting from tensions between Israel and Iran.

 


On the night of 28 February 2026, airport authorities deployed staff to provide information and  assistance for affected travelers. Eight airlines were impacted, namely (1) EL AL Israel Airlines, (2) Air Arabia, (3) Emirates, (4) Qatar Airways, (5) Etihad Airways, (6) Gulf Air, (7) Arkia Israel Inland Airlines, and (8) Kuwait Airways.

 


A total of 16 flights were initially canceled, including 14 departures and 2 arrivals. As of 6:48 a.m. on 1 March 2026, World2Fly announced an additional cancellation, bringing the total number of affected flights to 32, comprising 16 departures and 16 arrivals.

 


To mitigate the impact, the airport has stationed staff at information points, provided drinking water to passengers awaiting check-in, and arranged additional seating areas at two locations on the second floor of the arrivals terminal, near Gates 1 and 10. Authorities are also coordinating closely with airlines to manage flight operations and ensure passenger care.

 


Airlines have arranged accommodation for passengers whose flights were canceled, and no departing passengers remain stranded at the airport.

 


Passengers planning to travel to the Middle East or nearby regions are advised to check their flight status regularly through airline websites, mobile applications, airline counters at the airport, or direct airline contact channels.
