Princess Sirivannavari Visits "Legacy" Exhibition, Honoring Thai Textile Heritage

What a moment for Thai craftsmanship! Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari visited the "Legacy" exhibition at ICONSIAM in Bangkok, honoring the timeless artistry of Thai textiles under the theme "Promoting the Art of Thai Wisdom: Reinterpreting Traditional Craftsmanship for Today."

Her Royal Highness was welcomed by Thananon Charnvirakul, spouse of Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. She was also greeted by senior government officials, including Minister Attached to the Prime Minister's Office Supamas Isarabhakdi, Permanent Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister Yupa Taweewattanakitborvon, and Director-General of the Government Public Relations Department Sudruetai Lertkasem.

Princess Sirivannavari toured an exhibition created to honor the enduring legacy of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother — the visionary who laid the foundation for preserving Thai textile heritage.

● "Legacy: Creative Continuity & Creativity"

The exhibition reflects Princess Sirivannavari's own philosophy: that heritage isn't frozen in the past, but a living value, passed down, reimagined, and given new meaning for every generation, while staying true to its roots.

● The Walk of Woven Identities

The highlight of the visit? A stunning fashion show featuring designs from 10 model weaving communities across Thailand. Each piece tells a story of local wisdom, technique, and identity, reborn through contemporary design. Models, artists, and celebrities took the runway to showcase Thai textiles as a true symbol of Thai cultural capital.

More than fashion , it's a movement beyond the runway, this initiative is creating real impact: supporting farmers, artisans, and local entrepreneurs, generating income for communities, and opening doors for Thai textiles on the global stage, all while keeping traditional wisdom alive for future generations.

A beautiful reminder that heritage, when nurtured with creativity, never goes out of style.
