BOI Joins Global Partners to Drive Thailand’s EV Value Chain and Competitiveness

The Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI) participated in the “Workshop on EV Value Chain Development and Competitiveness in Thailand,”. The seminar was organised by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the World Bank, with support from the BOI.

The workshop aimed to gather insights from leading players in the electric vehicle (EV) and electronics industries to assess Thailand’s potential and strengthen its global competitiveness. More than 40 representatives from multinational EV manufacturers, parts suppliers, and electronics companies operating in Thailand took part in the discussions.

Key sessions presented in-depth studies on Thailand’s EV ecosystem and its position in the global supply chain. Participants exchanged views on three main issues: supply chain linkages and raw material sourcing, testing standards and trade facilitation, and workforce development and innovation. The goal was to identify challenges and unlock new business opportunities for companies in Thailand.

Outcomes from the workshop will contribute to policy and strategy recommendations for the 2026 Vision Report, “Building Thailand’s Future Today,” to be presented at the IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings, which Thailand will host in October 2026.
