Chulalongkorn University has announced a strategic collaboration on research and innovation with private sector organizations in the health industry and intellectual property development, highlighting Thailand’s commitment to advancing national research capabilities through strong public–private partnerships. The initiative aims to translate academic research into tangible economic and social value.
The collaboration focuses on developing a comprehensive research and development ecosystem that spans the entire innovation value chain, from basicresearch and technology development to intellectual property protection and commercialization. This integrated approach enhances the value of Thai research outputs and strengthens national competitiveness in the health and medical innovation sectors.
By integrating academic expertise with private sector capabilities in manufacturing, commercialization, and market deployment, the partnership supports Thailand’s efforts to reduce dependence on imported medical products, reinforce national health security, and advance the country toward becoming a regional and global hub for medical and health innovation.
