For more than three decades, the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center

(QSNCC) has served as Thailand's "living room" for international guests, helping drive the economy through the country's Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry.

🔴 A Mirror of History
The QSNCC's story began in 1989, as Thailand prepared to host the 46th IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings in 1991. For that occasion, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, graciously granted her name to the convention center. The event welcomed more than 10,000 participants from around the world and demonstrated Thailand's readiness on the international stage.

🔴 Transformation into "The Ultimate Inspiring World-Class Event Platform for All"
After a major renovation that began in 2019, the QSNCC reopened in 2022 at a world-class standard:
• Five times larger, with a total area of more than 300,000 square meters
• International standards blended with Thai identity, guided by the concept of "continue, preserve, and build upon"
• A downtown Bangkok location with easy access to the BTS Skytrain, the MRT subway, airports, and world-leading hotels
• Advanced digital technology and modern logistics, plus premium shops and restaurants to suit every lifestyle

🔴 A New Chapter: Hosting the 2026 IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings
From 12 to 18 October 2026, Thailand will host this prestigious global gathering for the second time, with the QSNCC once again serving as the main venue.
Over the past three years, the Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Thailand have worked closely on infrastructure, technology systems, traffic management, and high-level security. These preparations are designed to welcome more than 15,000 delegates from 191 countries.

The 2026 Annual Meetings will showcase Thailand to the international community and strengthen its position as a global MICE hub, creating jobs, spreading income more widely, and supporting the sustainable growth of the Thai economy.
