The Ministry of Commerce participated in the “Taste of Thailand” promotional activity and visited Nature’s Basket supermarket to explore market conditions and assess the potential of Thai products in the Indian market.
The “Taste of Thailand” event was held at Nature’s Basket supermarket, located inside Phoenix Palladium shopping mall in Mumbai, Republic of India. The initiative aimed to enhance awareness and strengthen the image of Thai food and agricultural products, stimulate consumption, and expand trade opportunities for Thai products in India through in-store product displays and promotion in a premium retail setting.
Nature’s Basket carries a wide range of Thai products, including curry pastes, seasonings, beverages, noodles, as well as key Thai agricultural and food products such as pomelo, rambutan, mangosteen, coconut, mushrooms, and processed food products. These items have continued to attract strong interest from Indian consumers.
This visit and promotional activity reflect the Ministry of Commerce’s strong commitment to advancing Thai products in overseas markets through on-the-ground marketing efforts, close monitoring of consumer behavior, and the creation of opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs to expand their market share in India—a large, high-potential market with sustained growth.
