TAT and Agoda Strengthen “Trusted Thailand” to Boost Safety, Quality, and Traveler Confidence

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has strengthened the Trusted Thailand initiative through a strategic partnership with digital travel platform Agoda, aligning public and private sector efforts to enhance safety standards, service quality, and traveler confidence across Thailand’s tourism ecosystem.

Trusted Thailand certifies tourism establishments that meet defined standards in safety, secure payments, multilingual communication, and accessible transport. Under the collaboration, Agoda has launched a dedicated Trusted Thailand landing page featuring TAT-certified partners, along with the phased rollout of a Trusted Thailand badge on accommodation listings, starting in Chinese-language markets to build awareness and trust.

The partnership also introduces multilingual, safety-focused travel guides based on official TAT information, including content from the 1672 Travel Buddy service and the TAT Newsroom. Available in English and eight additional languages, the guides provide practical safety updates via Agoda’s City Guides and QR code integration, with initial content focused on flood-related information and plans to expand to other safety topics.

By leveraging Agoda’s global reach and strong presence across Asia-Pacific, the initiative enhances visibility for certified tourism businesses while providing travelers with clear, reliable signals of safety and quality. The collaboration reinforces Thailand’s positioning as a safe, dependable, and high-quality destination, supporting long-term, quality-led tourism development.
