The Public Relations Department (PRD) and Xinhua News Agency are continuing their cooperation on digital media development, with Xinhua specialist Li Qince sharing practical expertise in artificial intelligence with PRD personnel. Li, deputy director of the Research and Development Center at Xinhua’s Communication Technology Bureau, presented ways AI can support modern media operations and improve day-to-day workflows.
The session covered AI-assisted content production, intelligent information processing, automated translation, digital content creation, and AI agents that automate tasks and increase operational efficiency. PRD personnel also participated in a hands-on workshop examining how AI can be incorporated into existing workflows, from information management and content preparation to production and distribution.
Li also discussed the use of AI in scientific research and development, including faster data analysis, knowledge discovery, and more efficient research processes. Responsible use was another key area, with participants encouraged to verify AI-generated information, protect sensitive data, and maintain human oversight when using the technology.
The training further reinforced the principle that AI should support human expertise and decision-making rather than replace professional judgment. The knowledge gained through continued PRD-Xinhua cooperation is expected to help PRD personnel apply AI and other emerging technologies more effectively in media production, information management, and broader workflows.
