The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with public and private sector partners, supported the organization of the Thailand Boat Festival 2026 at Phuket Boat Lagoon, reinforcing Thailand’s strategic ambition to become a regional hub for marine tourism through high-quality products and services.
The international festival showcased a comprehensive range of marine-related industries, including yachts, various types of boats, marine and water-sports equipment, and maritime technologies. Integrated with tourism experiences, premium resorts, wellness services, gastronomy, music, and cultural activities, the event aimed to expand niche and luxury tourism markets while delivering high-value travel experiences that meet international standards.
The event also highlighted Phuket’s strategic role along Thailand’s Andaman coast as a key maritime gateway for regional and international travelers. By linking marine tourism with onshore experiences such as destinations, accommodations, and supporting services, the festival emphasized Phuket’s readiness to serve as a center for long-term and sustainable marine tourism development.
In addition, TAT invited tourism representatives from Indonesia and Malaysia under the IMT-GT cooperation framework, including the Center for Indonesia–Malaysia–Thailand Cooperation (CIMT), to promote seamless cross-border marine travel. Thailand Boat Festival 2026 reflected strong public–private collaboration and reinforced Thailand’s role as a leading marine tourism destination, supporting sustainable growth and regional connectivity within the IMT-GT subregion.
