Thailand Strengthens Tourism Confidence with Trusted Thailand Certification

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports, through the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), has introduced the “Trusted Thailand” certification to enhance international confidence in Thailand’s tourism sector. The initiative underscores the country’s commitment to safety, service quality, and visitor convenience, particularly for key international markets, including travelers from China. The certification reflects Thailand’s readiness to welcome tourists with comprehensive standards aligned with global expectations.

The Trusted Thailand certification is granted to tourism-related establishments that meet clearly defined criteria covering safety and accessibility. These include general security measures, fire prevention systems, secure and modern payment options, foreign-language communication capabilities, and safe access to locations. The certification applies across major tourism sectors such as accommodation, restaurants, shopping centers, and recreational attractions, demonstrating a nationwide effort to elevate service standards and ensure a seamless travel experience.

To further improve accessibility and traveler confidence, TAT has partnered with leading online travel platforms including Agoda, Trip.com Group, and Meituan. This collaboration enables tourists to easily identify and book certified establishments through trusted digital channels, starting with accommodation providers. Combined with strategic international communication efforts, the Trusted Thailand certification plays a vital role in strengthening Thailand’s tourism image, supporting recovery during the high season, and reinforcing the country’s positio  as a safe, reliable, and welcoming destination on the global tourismstage.
