Thailand to Host FIFA Women’s Series 2026 in Ratchaburi, First in Asia

Thailand has been officially confirmed by FIFA as the host of the FIFA Women’s Series 2026, marking the first time an Asian country will stage the women’s edition of the tournament. The event will be held from April 9–15, 2026, at Ratchaburi Stadium in Ratchaburi province.

The FIFA Series is a pilot initiative designed to expand international participation in both men’s and women’s football by bringing together national teams from different continents. The project aims to enhance player development, expose teams to diverse playing styles, and strengthen international cooperation, while also supporting the commercial growth of football markets.

The women’s tournament in Thailand will feature four national teams: Thailand, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nepal, and one additional team from the Oceania region yet to be announced. Each team will play two matches. The opening round will take place on April 12, followed by the second round on April 15, with all matches hosted at the same venue.

FIFA’s decision highlights confidence in Thailand’s capability to host international women’s football and supports broader efforts to promote the development of the women’s game at both regional and global levels.
