On August 13, 2026, at Tara Hall, M Floor, ICONSIAM, Bangkok, Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, presided over a ceremony to present certificates of recognition to 10 model communities for Thai textile development and to officially close the exhibition and academic forum, “Cultural Capital Legacy: Fashion,”organized by the Government Public Relations Department (PRD). The event was attended by Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office Yupa Taweewattanakitborvon, PRD Director-General Sudruetai Lertkasem, executives, working groups, and members of the public.

The certificate presentation recognized and encouraged local weavers and community entrepreneurs who collaborated with leading designers, stylists, and experts to transform traditional local wisdom into more than 400 contemporary fashion pieces and products. Their cooperation supports the “Fun with Thai Fabrics” project initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya.

* T. Chattuwan Group, Roi Et Province

* Thai Silk Village Co., Ltd., Chiang Mai Province
* Woo Mai Thai – Ban Mae San Ban Tong Weaving Group, Lamphun Province
* Impani Group, Ratchaburi Province
* Mai Thong Suranaree Group, Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Ms. Supamas congratulated the 10 communities and commended them as guardians and innovators of Thailand's cultural heritage for preserving traditional textile wisdom, while transforming it into refined, contemporary craftsmanship that can be worn in everyday life.

She emphasized the potential of Thai textiles to grow alongside the global fashion industry, generate income for local communities, and contribute to sustainable economic development.
